Your Profile
What's on Your Profile
- Display name — How others see you
- Username — Your unique @handle
- Bio — Tell people about yourself
- Avatar & Cover Photo — Personalize your page
- Favorite Games — What you love to play
- Experience Level — From beginner to expert
- Location — City and state
Editing Your Profile
- Click your avatar → View Profile
- Click Edit Profile
- Make your changes
- Click Save
Privacy Settings
Control who sees what:
Profile Visibility
- Public — Anyone can view your profile
- Private — Only friends can see details
Friends List Visibility
- Public — Anyone can see your friends
- Private — Only you can see your friends list
Location Display
Your exact address is never shown. Only your city appears on your profile.
Account Security
Change Password
- Go to Settings → Security
- Click Change Password
- Enter current password
- Enter and confirm new password
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Add extra security with an authenticator app:
- Go to Settings → Security
- Click Enable 2FA
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
- Enter the verification code
Linked Accounts
Connect social accounts for easier login:
- Discord
Go to Settings → Linked Accounts to manage.

In-App Notifications
You'll be notified about:
- RSVP approvals and declines
- Friend requests
- Event updates and cancellations
- New ratings received
Managing Notifications
Click the bell icon to view notifications. You can:
- Mark all as read
- View past notifications
Verification Badges
Email Verified ✓
Shown when you've verified your email address. Required to use GatherRound.
Identity Verified 🛡️
Premium users can verify their identity through Stripe Identity:
- Increases trust with hosts
- Shows you've verified who you are
- Does NOT guarantee behavior
OAuth Linked
Shows which accounts you've linked (Google, Discord).
Premium Features
Premium members get:
- Unlimited active events
- Short usernames (under 6 characters)
- Identity verification option
- Premium badge on profile
Deleting Your Account
If you need to leave:
- Go to Settings → Security
- Click Delete Account
- Enter your password to confirm
- Your account enters a 7-day recovery period
During the 7 days, you can cancel deletion by logging back in. After 7 days, your account and data are permanently deleted.
