GatherRound Terms of Use

  • GatherRound helps people find and host in-person gaming events.
  • You attend events at your own risk.
  • We do not supervise or guarantee events.
  • Be honest and respectful.
  • You must be 13+ to use the platform.
  • Minors need guardian approval to attend events.
  • Violations can result in account termination.

1. Operator & Acceptance

GatherRound is a platform operated by Ninety2 LLC ("Company," "we," "us").

By accessing or using GatherRound, you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • Users under 18 must have guardian approval to attend events.
  • You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws.

3. Accounts & Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account security
  • All activity under your account
  • Providing accurate information

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Events & Real-World Interactions

GatherRound does not:

  • Organize events
  • Supervise attendees
  • Guarantee safety or legality

You acknowledge that:

  • Events involve meeting strangers
  • Participation is at your own risk

5. Identity & Business Verification

Individual Identity Verification

Identity verification for individual users is optional and provided through Stripe Identity.

Verification:

  • Is available to users aged 16 or older
  • Increases trust
  • Is not a guarantee of behavior or safety
  • Misuse may result in termination

Verified Hosts & Players have completed identity verification through our verification provider. Verification confirms the user's identity at the time of review and does not constitute a background check, endorsement, or assurance of trustworthiness, safety, or suitability.

Business Verification

Business Pro subscribers may apply for manual business verification. Business verification:

  • Requires submission of valid business documentation
  • Is reviewed by GatherRound within 1-3 business days
  • Results in a verified badge upon approval
  • Is not a guarantee of business legitimacy, safety, or quality
  • May be revoked if documentation is found to be fraudulent or misleading

Submission of false or misleading business documentation may result in immediate account termination.

6. Payments & Subscriptions

  • Payments are processed by Stripe
  • Subscription terms are disclosed at checkout
  • Pricing may change with notice

7. User Content

You retain ownership of your content. You grant GatherRound a non-exclusive license to display and operate the service.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Violate laws
  • Harass or threaten others
  • Impersonate individuals or businesses
  • Manipulate ratings or reviews
  • Abuse the platform

Event-Specific Prohibitions

You may not:

  • Create or promote events with misleading or inaccurate information
  • Misrepresent event locations, age requirements, or access conditions
  • Manipulate ratings, reviews, or reputation systems

9. Legal Requests

We may disclose user information in response to valid legal requests, such as subpoenas, court orders, or search warrants, as required by law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violations, safety concerns, or misuse.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NINETY2 LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • IN-PERSON INCIDENTS
  • USER CONDUCT
  • PERSONAL INJURY
  • PROPERTY DAMAGE
  • EMOTIONAL DISTRESS

13. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Any dispute must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fairfax County, Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
