How Ratings Work

After an event ends, both hosts and players can rate each other:

  • Hosts rate players — How was each attendee?
  • Players rate hosts — How was the event and host?

Rating Window

You have 48 hours after an event ends to leave ratings.


Rating Scale

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Excellent
⭐⭐⭐⭐Great
⭐⭐⭐Good
⭐⭐Fair
Poor

Endorsements & Feedback

For High Ratings (4-5 stars)

Choose endorsements like:

  • Hosts: Great Communication, Welcoming, Good Pacing, Inclusive
  • Players: Reliable, On Time, Good Sportsmanship, Respectful

For Middle Ratings (3 stars)

Provide light suggestions for improvement.

For Low Ratings (1-2 stars)

Select specific issues that occurred.


Viewing Ratings

Your Own Ratings

Go to SettingsFeedback to see:

  • All ratings you've received
  • Endorsements and badges earned
  • Suggestions and issues (anonymously)

On Profiles

User profiles show:

  • Star rating average (after 3+ ratings)
  • Top endorsement badges
  • Number of ratings received

Rating Requirements

  • Ratings only show after 3+ ratings received
  • This prevents single ratings from being too impactful

Badges

Earn badges for consistent positive feedback:

Rating Guidelines

Do

  • Be honest and fair
  • Rate based on the actual experience
  • Consider the full context
  • Leave helpful feedback

Don't

  • Rate events you didn't attend
  • Leave retaliatory ratings
  • Make personal attacks
  • Rate based on things outside the event

Reporting Ratings

If you receive an inappropriate rating:

  1. Go to SettingsFeedback
  2. Find the rating
  3. Click Report
  4. Explain why it violates guidelines

We review all reports manually.


Tips for Good Ratings

As a Host:

  • Communicate clearly before and during
  • Start on time
  • Be welcoming to all skill levels
  • Handle conflicts professionally

As a Player:

  • Show up on time
  • Be respectful and engaged
  • Follow the host's guidelines
  • Communicate if plans change
