How to Report

Reporting an Event

  1. Go to the event page
  2. Click the flag icon (mobile) or "Report Event" link (desktop)
  3. Select a reason
  4. Add details (optional but helpful)
  5. Submit

Reporting a User

  1. Go to their profile
  2. Click the menu (three dots)
  3. Select "Report User"
  4. Choose a reason and add details
  5. Submit

Reporting a Rating

  1. Go to Settings → Feedback
  2. Find the rating in question
  3. Click "Report"
  4. Explain why it violates guidelines
  5. Submit

What Happens After You Report

  1. Review: Our moderation team reviews reports manually
  2. Investigation: We may gather additional information
  3. Action: Appropriate action is taken based on severity
  4. Notification: In some cases, we'll update you on the outcome

Possible Outcomes

  • Warning issued to the user
  • Content removed
  • Event hidden or deleted
  • Account suspension
  • Permanent ban

Emergency Situations

If you or someone else is in immediate danger:

  1. Call 911 (or your local emergency number)
  2. Get to safety first
  3. Report to GatherRound afterward

GatherRound reporting is for platform issues, not emergencies. We cannot respond in real-time to dangerous situations.


Tips for Effective Reports

  • Be specific — include dates, times, and details
  • Stay factual — describe what happened objectively
  • Include evidence — screenshots can be helpful
  • One issue per report — don't bundle unrelated concerns

What NOT to Report

  • Disagreements about game rules
  • Someone declining your RSVP
  • Not liking someone's profile
  • Personal disputes unrelated to GatherRound

Confidentiality

Your reports are confidential. We don't share reporter identities with the reported user.


False Reports

Submitting false reports is a violation of our Community Guidelines and may result in action against your account.
